Sango Ota is town in Ogun state, Nigeria. It is also spelled as "Otta". Historically, Ota is the capital of the Awori Yoruba ethnic group. In the year 1999, Ota had the third largest concentration of industries in Nigeria. Otta has a large market; it also has an important road junction, north of the tollgate on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. The farm of the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is found in this town. There are two universities or higher institutions located in Otta, they are: Covenant University and Bells University of Technology.
