RIG HISTORY: Built by McDermott in 1982.
MAJOR EQUIPMENT
MAST:
Dreco 142' x 25' rated for 1,550,000 lbs on 14 lines with stabbing board for running casing.
Wind 100 mph full; 115 mph nothing in derrick.
SUBSTRUCTURE:
31' x 25.5' with bottom deck having BOP stump (storage) on each side of key slot. Rated for
1,550,000 lb hook load; 900,000 lb on rotary, 650,000 setback, 2,200,000 lb combined hook
and setback; 1,550,000 lb combined rotary and setback.
CROWN BLOCK:
Dreco 7 sheave rated for 885 tons on 14 lines.
TRAVELING BLOCK:
National 7 sheave rated for 650 tons on 14 lines.
DRAWWORKS:
National 1625-DE 3000 hp freshly overhauled with new bearings, driven by two EMD D-79
electric motors with dynamic braking, National catheads and water-cooled brake drums.
Currently power is set as 2000hp and additional motor required to achieve the 3000hp.
AUXILIARY BRAKE:
El-Magco 7838 water-cooled electric brake.
ROTARY:
National C-375-E with 37.5" driven by an EMD D-79 electric motor and 2-speed transmission.
MUD PUMPS:
Two National 12-P-160 with Continental PD55A pulsation dampener and 5,000 psi resettable
pressure relief valve. Pumps powered by two EMD D-79 electric motors. P-Quip streamline
system for liner and piston assembly. Recommended upgrade to (2) White Star Quatro 2450hp
mud pumps that fit easily in current pump room.
TOP DRIVE:
GDM Model 500 rated for 500-ton drilling and 650 ton casing, 5K psi WP with independent
SCR/MCC Room.
DRILLING LINE:
1 ½" diameter.
STAND PIPE MANIFOLD:
Rated for 5,000 psi. Upgrade to 7500psi needed to achieve full 35,000' drill depth.

Two Unit Marine Model 150-H revolving cranes with 50' boom rated for 15 tons at 15' radius.
