Dass is a Local Government Area in Bauchi state, Nigeria. It has its headquarters in the town of Dass. Dass LGA is very much engaged in agriculture and have rich crops. The LGA provides Bauchi state and neighbouring states with good rice and maize which are the staple food of the community. Dass houses diverse ethnic groups and is a peaceful area. Both western and Islamic educational systems have reached the community since before the amalgation of the country in 1914.

Dass is located on the North Central Highland of Nigeria with average of 700m above sea level and undulating surfaces seen everywhere in the area. There are hills and ridges with big boulders them, all over the area. Some of these ridges extend up to the neighbouring local governments particularly Toro local government. There are stand-out rocks with plains surrounding them. Dass is located in a hilly environment; and there are some seasonal falls around the hill which are the product of relief of the area.
